Seat Part 2 (driver side)

Stock seat skin.

Back rest. Took off the stock lumber support and made new one from memory foam and arm rest for computer mouse.

Dark gery thing is another memory foam pad. This one's slightly higher density. (These are used for seat cushion. The lighter tan colored one is for matress.)

The finished photo. (not a good one. I was waaay too tired. I'll take another photo later. But you get the idea.)

seat(passenger side)

Here are some photo's of re-upholstering the miata seat. The seat skin is made by Katzkin.(purchased through Crazy Red in Sacramento 'cause Katzking only deals with dealership/shop.
It is slightly lighter shade of tan than stock seat. Also , "crease(wrinkle?) " on the new seat is because of "gethered insert" of the new skin (as opposed to tight fit of OEM seat style.) You may or may not like the look in the photo, but seeing it in the flesh, it doesn't look bad. I've chosen gethered because I was going to modify the sitting position, both bottom and backrest. I got a piece of memory foam and replaced it with stock lumber support panel.

Rhino Ramp

Rhino Ramps. They don't raise the car that much, but there's enough space to do things like oil change. (at least "I" don't have problem ) Click on the image for larger view.

Wheelskin steering cover. Click on the image for larger view. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this thing on ...

LOOK AT ME IN THE EYES, AND TELL ME THAT YOU DON'T LOVE ME...

After installing STANCE coil-over kit. The car sits even lower now. (Mazda changed Miata's ride height almost every year.92 Miata was the lowest of the bunch in stock trim.) Made the car looks really mean ... a lot of drivers move away when they see me in the mirror, coming from behind. )

Of course, I didn't do it for the looks. I did it for function. Spring pre-load, ride hight, damping force (15 -way) adjustable.
NICE.
OK, I 've got to run. More detailed post later.

billet pedals...

Billet aluminum alloy pedal set. Installed Saturday morning. Total working time approximately 30 min.
Click on the image to see larger size image. Red paint on Roadster logo was done by me.

before ...

after...

Look at the before and after picture. See how close throttle and brake pedals are now? I have small and narrow feet, this set up makes doing heel & toe much easier. (and that was the main reason for installing the pedal kit.)

headrest speaker

Well, my headrest speakers were blown. So I just replaced them with Pioneer A878 ($49 per pair). They are 3-1/2", 4 ohm impedance so they should work. Total working time 30 minutes , including taking photos and testing the speaker set, easy.

old unit taken off

OEM speaker and enclosure. Can you tell the damaged foam on the speaker?

No need to change the wireing.

installed in the head rest

The new speakers sounds much cleaner and brighter, especially when I crank up the volume (while driving with the top down).
